Common Attacks

In the world of social engineering there are common attacks. Some of these attack vectors involve a lot of technology, while others contain none at all. The Social-Engineer framework has comprised a short list of the most common attack vectors. However, we expect this list will grow with research and contributions from the Social Engineering community.

For detailed information regarding the categories of an attack cycle, please see Attack Vectors in the Social-Engineer Framework.

The end result with any social engineering attack is the same; loss of data, personal information, identity or even valuable resources. The solution is also the same –education.
